VINTAGE PRINTS & PUNTA

So it is with bold patterns: because they are so personal, can be very dubious. In my case, I prefer to bring them in summer dresses, with quite simple extras. I bet that in its heyday -back in the 60s-, this dress must have looked amazing combined with a bohemian headband with a loop to the side and go-go boots. However, it is unlikely that a look like that can be transplanted successfully to the present, unless one wants to become a cliché. Still, the time machine continues to prove its unfailing function for today designers' inspiration: if you observe the print of this Ossie Clark dress, will see its resemblance to some botanical prints of last spring's Dries Van Noten collaged ones.
Dress by Decades, bra by Le Mystère, sandals by Perugia, and shades by Oliver Peoples.

  2. Beautiful dress! I envy you the weather, in Czech republic we have now about -20 degrees centigrade, it's unusual and exhausting. But I hope it will be better in short time. I am really looking forward to summer, for the weather as you have!:D:)

  9. my dear friend i've read all of your comments and i am so sorry for taking so long to comment back. i am also sorry for writing in english (again), i was about to write in spanish but as you already know my computer kind of hates me lately and i can't risk having it open for too long in case it shuts down again suddenly. the reason i choose to write in english is the level of difficultly spanish still holds for me(it takes more time to write in spanish than english). so off this topic and back to your lovely comments, you always know how much i enjoy reading them and please keep writing in spanish, i love to read your comments i always learn a new word or just admire how perfectly you manage to write your thoughts down. i really missed blogging and commenting and i am glad i am currently able to do so. even for a while.
i love your pics and i am so jealous of you for not wearing coats and scarves like i am right now. here its freezing cold. well freezing cold for greece, i bet its colder in sweden lol.
although patterns are not my thing i do love your dress, it had a nice vintage vibe on it, and i adore your sunglasses. i agree that boots would be too much with such a dress, especially due to its lenght.
now that i am thinking about it this comment is so long that writing in spanish couldn't possibly take more time.
by the way do not apologize for your long comments, i love long comments.
greetings and love from your greek friend.
